Situated off the Bells Line of Road just past Mount Banks there is a turnoff to Pierces Pass. The left hand track goes to Walls' Lookout car park and it is a 30 minute walk to the lookout of the Grose Gorge and Walls. The road to the right goes to another car park where there is a choice of two walks, one to Rigby Hill and the other to Pierces Pass and the Blue Gum Forest. It is advisable to plan your walks in advance by seeking advice from the National Parks Heritage Centre and carry a map. ...

The village of Mount Tomah is located approximately 40 kilometres (25 miles) west of Richmond, on the Bells Line of Road. The peak of Mount Tomah is 1,016 metres (3,333 feet) above sea level. Its most distinguished feature, the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden, is located on the north side of that road. The garden was established in 1972. Entry into the garden is free. Sandstone woodlands and gullies rest upon a basalt cap making it possible to grow cool climate plants from around the world. The World Heritage Exhibition Centre is in Mount Tomah and allows visitors to engage in a virtual journey through the canyons and ridges of 1,000,000 hectares of wilderness....
