Visit one of Australia's most famous gardens featuring world famous wisteria, plus rhododendrons, azaleas and maples.
Nooroo was built and planted in 1880 by William Hay and original plantings include English oaks, chestnuts, ash and cedars which are underplanted with thousands of bulbs including, bluebells, daffodils and crocus.
Famous for its wisteria collection, hostas, lilly of the valley and Japanese iris have been planted to complement the wisteria. Nooroo also has many rare maples, azaleas and rhododendrons.
In April and May, the garden has wonderful autumn colour. Many of the shrubs and maples have been underplanted with white nerines which creates a stunning display. The colours are at their best in the ten days after 25 April.
