We are located in a natural, peaceful bush setting just 2.5km from the famous surf and swimming beach of Cowaramup Bay at Gracetown. We are a 10 minute drive from Margaret River town and central to the many renowned wineries and attractions of the region. Many galleries, cafes and restaurants are also within easy reach. The Holmes ? Court Gallery East Perth closed at the end of October 2010, but continues to present to you its program of exhibitions and events at Vasse Felix Winery, Margaret River. The original Vasse Felix winery has been preserved as an Art Gallery and here, you will find a seasonal program of exhibitions from the celebrated Holmes ? Court Collection. The gallery experience extends to the Vasse Felix grounds where gardens of local flora have been embellished with a sculpture walk comprising works by local artists. The annual Vasse Felix arts calendar features a variety of performance events that will draw you back to this historic space at every opportunity. The Holmes ? Court Collection started in the early 1970s and grew from the Family?s interest in Australian and Indigenous art. The Margaret River Rail Trail is a multi-use path taking you through some of the most beautiful natural bush, farmland and vineyards in the Margaret River region, three hours south of Perth. The moderate 15 kilometre section from Cowaramup passes through peppermint, jarrah and young karri forest providing a first hand view of the abundant bird life. This Top Trail was once part of the old railway network that was built during the timber boom. The trail begins or ends (depending where you start) at Cowaramup and finishes at Margaret River. There are numerous bridges in the five kilometres north of Margaret River crossing a major river and creeks and streams of varying sizes. As it was a railway, the gradient is relatively flat, and the terrain is gentle. This trail is easy to navigate and has picnic areas along the way.
